13 SEER Minimum efficiency became effective January 20 2006

10 and 12 SEER systems are now obsolete. Parts will become very difficult to get after the warranties expire. 

R22 phase out will effect your long term repair ability and cost of your comfort system.

R22 will be available (until 2015) at a very high price.

As of January 1, 2010 no manufacture can produce a air conditioning system that uses R22.

Also as of January 1, 2010 the amount of R22 that can be produced has to be decreased by 75% of what was produced in 2006. Because of this reduction in the manufacturing of the R22 the price of this refrigerant has doubled 3 times since the beginning of 2007.
